And so I'm back, laden with chocolates and complaining of tiredness.
Went to a press conference to announce Sunday's Shah Rukh, Rani Mukherjee, Zayed, Malaika show. It's for a charity called Sanghamitra. Addressing the conference were some Bombay slick-types including (in my eyes) the real star of the show, the choreographer, with shaved chest and big shiny shades. Very Sanjay Dutt somehow.
A journalist asked him what the show was for and he said with no pause, 'Moneymaking'. There were some titters, someone hissed charity, and then in a desperate recovery he nodded in the direction of the charity spokespeople: 'ask them, they know.'
But 'moneymaking'... seriously! Not even 'to raise funds' or something polite and obtuse. I tell you, these Bombay slicks.
