Sundays are lazy days and so we woke late, dawdled in Chinatown and then drifted to Marche's. Some mad running up and down entitles me to another Foreign Press pass, which is dutifully handed over to Pishi, and we watch the Indian Designers Show.
How nice to have Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Sonam Dubal, JJ Valaya and Kiran Uttam Ghosh all to ourselves. Just three journalists and so we could sit down while they all dutifully occupied the chair in front of us, chatted, and then, on a polite nod, arose to make place for the next designer. Talking to Valaya was fun though. Like Suneet Verma he could step out of the picture and view the industry with a broad macro perspective. And his collection is inspired by Herge and Tintin in Peru!
Used the Mac's at the Media Centre, which only I seem to have discovered, and then off to the Museum, Merlion, a lovely riverside snack and back again for the Grand Finale.
Not so grand after all... just a lingerie show.. but ah, well.
Wandered by Boat Quay and Clark Quay, had a lovely Indonesian dinner and then reluctantly headed home.
