A jug of wine
A loaf of bread
And you beside me
(Making those crazy wine sandwiches)
But seriously. Now it's a former senior Editor at the Indian Express, an award-winner producer of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin... and me. Placed firmly in between. Or below. As the dynamics of the next month will decide. And, of course, no more posting about 'People at Work' on this blog because I know what getting dooced means.
(However if anyone should find the need to give me farewell gifts, now is the time. Now, now.)

No, I'm not getting Bangalored!! I actually chose to move back to Delhi. When I was asked: "So would you like a Bangalore posting?" I laughed confidently and said scornfully, "No way!" And now with a few hours to leave and little green men stomping around in my tummy, I'm wondering why anyone would give up a lovely home filled with TLC, a car, a phone, a computer, a great work team, weather to die for and a lovely newspaper... to go to an aggressive work environment with long hours, a tough-as-nails boss, no house located yet to live in, an office at the far end of town. Why?
Temporary insanity, that's why. The fog is clearing now, but it's too late. Sniffle.
